Plaid Happy

One of the best things about fall is the beginning of a new school year. It’s like a whole new year. Since I'm not technically finished with my education, I still love the beginning of the school year – even if I haven't had a summer off from school in three years... I am still excited. I still really enjoy learning. For instance, I recently learned that I made a mistake in one of my blogs. No, we are not going to talk about it. Moving on.

Anyway, one of the best things about this time of year is fall. You always know that leaves will be start changing any day now and everything will be red and orange and beautiful. One of my favorite fall looks is PLAID. Plaid shirts, plaid pants, plaid pajamas, plaid whatever you want. I like plaid.

This is because plaid allows your shirt to be more than one color, in its own little unique way.

Story time: When I was in the 8th grade I didn't have a ton of clothes to choose from, I had very few outfits. A lot of my outfits were hand-me-downs and occasionally old clothes that I had patched myself for the fun of it. Well, I had some old dress clothes and lucky for me I wasn't growing a whole lot yet so I could still wear these "dress clothes" which were two different pairs of plaid dress pants. They were weird. I was weird. I wore them with my black and white converse and called it a day. I felt so badass and so plaid. I was really into it.

Moral of the story: I might try that again and in the meantime I will be wearing these two awesome shirts that are Lauren by Ralph Lauren and J.Crew for under $10.00.

I realize that it’s still really hot in most places. For instance, it’s basically still summer where I live. Temperature wise and all. So, to make things a little less hot I suggest wearing plaid that is not flannel and pairing it with a pair of shorts. These are French Connection shorts. They are high waisted and I really like them. They were my first pair of high waisted anything's in the 2010's and I purchased them maybe three months ago? The shoes are Franco Sarto slip on's and Madden Girl short black boots. I did a red-brown look and blue/green-black look.

I hope you guys don't mind my plaid happiness and if you do mind it then you are officially weirder than my plaid pants from 8th grade.

Happy weekend and stuff!
