Feel Good Music

Let's take a trip back in time to around August 2004, beginning of my 8th grade year. I had a friend who was obsessed with this band called Relient K. Being the good friend that she was, she decided to burn me two Relient K cd's. Rebels, I know. Anyways, she returned back to school the next day with what would change my life forever. Two discs that consisted of the Relient K albums, "The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek" and "Two Lefts Don't Make A Right...But Three Do". I am not exaggerating when I say that Relient K became a staple in my life from that point forward. I was instantly obsessed, and since then they have been my favorite band. I do not say that lightly. I have many favorite bands, but there is only room for one true favorite in my heart, and that is Relient K. They're even on top of Mayday Parade, and that says a whole heck of a lot. For me, Relient K is a constant in my life no matter what is happening, and more importantly they are a symbol of persistence and dedication. They have been through so many changes through the years, and they're still making awesome music. Last year they released "Air For Free", and I absolutely love it. I have been consistently jamming it since it was released.

Here is my vacation song. Even if that vacation is just a ride down old country roads on a sunny day. It serves as a reminder to relax and chill sometimes. It makes all the difference in the world.

This is the first song I heard from this album, and once I listened to it I knew that Relient K had done it once again. Not that I expected anything less. Also, singing this is as close as I'll ever get to cheering for the Browns, no offense.

Relient K has definitely always had their own specific sound and style, and "Cat" is the epitome of that. This song always makes me smile. I love listening to it and thinking about all of the time and creativity they put into it. It's a great symbol for the album as a whole.
